Los Altos Hills (Calif.) Foothill College offensive tackle Braxton Isaac committed to San Diego State Tuesday afternoon.

"Braxton [Isaac] has really good feet, great upper body strength, great reach and long arms," Foothill College head coach Edwards. "He has everything you could ask for. He's a great kid, always on time, team leader, great motor, great tempo. He's the full package."

Isaac who can play both tackle positions will be playing right tackle this season due to having a left-handed quarterback.

"Last year we flopped our line so we went strong and weak," said Edwards. "He was our weak tackle so he did both. Depending on what formation we were in obviously he was playing left or right tackle. He did play both and did it very well. There is no doubt in my mind that in a traditional style offensive line position, if he plays left he will do just fine."

What will the future left tackle bring to San Diego State?

"He will bring leadership," said Edwards. "Will be a guy that will be there everyday that you can count on. He will solidify that offensive line and a person that you won't have to worry about someone coming off that edge which a offensive coordinator always wants."

The 6-foot-5 and 285-pound tackle gray shirted while at Foothill so he will have 3 years to play 2. Isaac has only one particular need to work on this season.

"His upper body strength if anything," said Coach Edwards. "He's still pretty strong but obviously he can get bigger, faster and stronger as he gets to that next level. Another thing that is going to help is true training table. He doesn't have one here. He has the build and the frame to put on 20 to 25 pounds of muscle."

Will Isaac be able to make an immediate impact in the Big East?

"Without a doubt," Edwards said.

Isaac who took an unofficial visit to SDSU this past weekend said in a text "it went good." He also has offers from Washington State and Utah State. Coach Edwards states Arkansas, Washington and UCLA are highly interested in the prospect.
