Colorito Taking His Time

Beaverton (Ore.) outside linebacker Evan Colorito breaks down the recruiting process and lays out his timeline…

Beaverton (Ore.) outside linebacker Evan Colorito has been patient throughout the recruiting process, but sees things picking up soon.

"Things have escalated more now that the season is over," said Colorito. "It's just straight recruiting. My film got sent out and I will get visits set up soon."

Colorito previously held offers from Colorado, Colorado State, Montana and Portland State. He has added another school to that list and hopes to see some in-state programs follow suit.

"I picked up a Nevada offer a little over a month ago," said Colorito. "Oregon State and Oregon have been watching my film. Arizona State wants me to visit in December. Michigan State and Notre Dame have talked to me as well about sending my tape."

Colorito talked about how he will decide which programs to take visits to.

"How I get along with the coach that is recruiting me is the main thing," said Colorito. "My dad helps me out a lot with the process. So we will sit down and talk about it."

The 6'4" 230lbs prospect had a successful senior season and saw some areas of his game that improved.

"I think a big part of it was being a leader, helping the team to win games," said Colorito. "I was a lot bigger and faster than I was last year too. My reads were better when I played linebacker."
