Ralston Picks Griz

Eugene (Ore.) Sheldon tight end Mike Ralston cancelled his official visit to SDSU and committed to Montana instead…

Eugene (Ore.) Sheldon tight end Mike Ralston picked up an offer from San Diego State this past week and was supposed to take an official visit this weekend.

"I actually did not end up going on that visit," said Ralston. "On Thursday I committed to Montana."

Ralston talked about what made Montana the right place to play college ball.

"The coaches there were perfect, just Montana had the perfect feel," said Ralston. "They are crazy about football and have a strong winning tradition. I like the coaches personally outside the realm of football. I am going to be with them for four years, so you need that relationship."

"Missoula is similar to Eugene, a strong campus feel," said Ralston. "I like the small city feel. I went on an official visit on the 11th.
