Matthews (N.C.) Jireh Prep wide receiver Christian Cumberlander tweeted out his top three schools in no particular order.

The 6-foot-3 and 195-pound prospect reiterated that it's his top three and not his final three.

Cumberlander talked with about each school:

San Diego State: "The whole thing about going out to the west coast, playing ball on the west coast, it's a great opportunity. They also have a great academic program. I like coach [Tony] White and coach [LeCharls] McDaniel. I got a chance to meet coach [Rocky] Long for the first time and he was a pretty cool guy. He's an old school type of guy."

"Coach McDaniel was telling me about the new offensive coordinator [Bob Toledo], one they got from Tulane, and they plan on going back to that NFL type passing game. So he was like the system is for you. They have been showing me a lot of love for a long time. I like them. I like being around those guys."

Auburn: "I started being recruited by them before I went to prep school with the old coaching staff. With the new coaching staff and everything, things kind of got out of wack… I talked to coach [Guz] Malzahn on Wednesday and I spoke to him this morning."

"I'm supposed to take a visit out there the last weekend before signing day. It was nice talking to him and stuff."

Houston: "Coach [Brandon] Middleton contacted me and the wide receivers coach who was at Oklahoma State is now the offensive coordinator at Houston [Doug Meacham]. So that's how I guess they came into the picture. I contacted them in high school and they still remember me. They are suppose to be my next visit either this weekend or sometime into next week."

"I like the area, the offense that they run, throwing the ball. They want me to be an outside threat and I like playing on the outside. So we talked and coach [Tony] Levine is going to be a hard coach. He's been in the NFL and everything so they will coach me up."

How will Cumberlander decide between the following programs?

"Just picking the best school for me, the best opportunity to play and best opportunity to get a great education," Cumberlander answered. Recommended Stories
