Henderson (Nev.) Foothill HS quarterback Drew Doxtator picked up his first offer from San Jose State several months back under Mike MacIntyre's staff. They've since left for Colorado, but the new staff renewed the offer and several other schools have gotten involved. Offers are in from the Spartans, as well as UNLV and New Mexico. Utah, Colorado, San Diego State, and UCLA have all shown interest.

"They want to offer but I need to go to the camp first. When I was throwing, the coach watching me got on the phone and said that he wanted to offer but the quarterback coach wants to see me thrown in person first," Doxtator said about his interest from the Aztecs.

Doxtator has a very busy summer ahead, "I'm going to Colorado and Utah. I have team camps and 7 on 7 stuff I have to be in town for, and I should be going to Wisconsin for an unofficial."

"Going off to college is a huge priority, but I still have senior year ahead of me and I have to be ready for the team."

"Basically I'm just trying to get bigger and get my legs stronger, trying to get my motion more fluid. My throwing motion from sophomore year to junior year improved a lot. I was a pitcher in baseball so my throwing motion is a little different than most," Doxtator said. "I definitely need to get faster. I run a 5 flat right now. I can scramble, but I'm not a true running quarterback or a dual threat, I'm definitely a pocket passer. You can never be athletic enough; you always need to keep working."

Playing time will play a big role in where Doxtator decides to play his college ball, because he is pretty open with everything else.

"I'm looking playing time over 3-4 years and an offense that fits me. I want to be under coaches that will teach me about the game. I don't care where I play because I've gone from Wisconsin to Vegas. The studies I want to do are pretty broad; I want to do criminal justice. If I was able to jump straight into the FBI out of college like my older brother that would be great."

Doxtator doesn't have a date for when he'll decide at this point, "I would love to get it done this summer. If I'm not in the right position, I'll just take things as it goes. I know the situation I want, but I don't want to overlook any school at this point."
