Notes from the second days of the Full Court Press All-West Camp presented by Pangos, and the Double…
Robbie Berwick starts fast
"I've picked up some new offers, the biggest one is probably from UTEP. After yesterday I got a lot of attention, but today I didn't play as well, so we'll see what happens," Berwick said. "I know a lot of coaches are coming out to watch us play now and it's kind of exciting, but we just gotta keep working hard and go the furthest we can this tournament."
Several college have had their eye on Berwick for several months at this point, but this month gives many new schools the chance to reach out and land a prospect to build their recruiting class.
"I want to show coaches that I'm able to defend and shoot with the best of them. And I also want to show them my open court passing and I know that they see that. My passing is probably my best attribute on the court. I really want them to check that out and see how great my court vision is."
Berwick made a trip south to San Diego State a few weeks back to participate in the Aztec's passing camp with his high school team, where Berwick is the quarterback. He was able to find time to visit the facilities and meet with the coaches.
"The unofficial visit was really fun. I know Coach Fisher is a really down to earth person, the whole coaching staff feels like a family there. I really like them a lot," Berwick said of his visit to San Diego State.
"(Coach Hutson) text me and said he's been with me all along. We'll see if they offer, hopefully they will, I think they will. San Diego State's a great school and I'm excited about them."
Berwick doesn't appear to be in a hurry to make a decision, but he knows what his top schools are at the moment, "I would probably say my top 3 right now as we speak. I'm gonna have to go with Stanford, San Diego State, and UCSB or UTEP."
